This group is led by Sue Moller. 

For those with green fingers and for those who just enjoy visiting gardens in good company, we meet every 2nd Tuesday afternoon of the month for garden visits. We swap seeds and plants and anything else the group are interested in. In the winter months we meet at Sue’s home for Garden-related talks.

Most gardens open for 2 p.m. and afternoon refreshments are usually included in the cost. We usually meet up for lunch together at a local eatery before the garden visit itself.

Tuesday 14 July at 2 pm

The Grove, Presteigne LD8 2NS, between Beggar's Bush & Whitton.

Stunning 7-acre garden divided into defined areas, with mood and planting style. Walled courtyard garden and stunning grass garden, vegetable plot and greenhouse. Arboretum with 200+ varieties of tree. Riverside walk and unique sculptures complement the planting. Lunch: 12 noon, The Swan Hotel, Kington, HR5 3AZ.

Tuesday 11 August at 2 pm

Aulden Farm, Aulden, Nr Leominster, HR6 0JT.

3 acres split into rooms. Features include a magnificent giant ash, a peaceful yew circle, a hornbeam tunnel, wildlife pond, etc. There are plenty of seats in the garden. Cost £10.00 per person including T&C. Lunch: 12 noon, White Lion Inn, Etnam St, Leominster, HR6 8AE.

Hampton Court Gardens, Hope-under-Dinmore, HR6 0PN

Return visit to a landscape of both formal beauty and playful discovery. Elegant avenues, water canals and island pavilions blend with established planting. There’s a 1,000-tree yew maze, a towering gothic folly, and a secret tunnel.
