June's Book is Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck                            

The novella tells the tragic story of George Milton and Lennie Small, two migrant farm workers in 1930s California. Bound by an unlikely friendship, they travel together seeking work during the Great Depression while holding onto a shared dream of owning their own piece of land and living off the fat of the land.
